Ethics eFile makes reports available automatically. Local authorities using Ethics eFile are compliant with Texas House Bill 2626 of the 88th Legislature immediately on implementation. Reports filed in Ethics eFile are compliant with TEC reporting requirements out of the box.
Filings can be searched, viewed, and reported on easily.

Ethics eFile allows local filing authorities to file Texas Ethics Commission compliant Personal Financial Statement reports. If your filers are required to file these types of disclosures, we have you covered.

Besides providing simplified and supportive report entry for filers, Ethics eFile also supports local filing authority staff. The Administrative Management System lets local authorities manage their filers, filer events, and reports in one place. The system tracks filing events required for each filer, and includes a report of late filers. Authorities can also publish notices for filers, either individually or for all, to be viewed at log in.

Reporting functionality made available with the TEC system fulfills the promise of transparency by making the contents of filed reports easily available to the inquiring public. This includes the ability to search filed reports by filer name, as well as donor or payment recipient name. Sophisticated search capability lets researchers drill into details, instead of browsing complete reports.

The Texas Ethics Commission uses Form 1295, Certificate Of Interested Parties, to document potential conflicts of interest, or lack thereof. RFD has developed the functionality to electronically file Form 1295, and this feature is available for local authority implementation. We are happy to discuss developing custom conflict of interest functionality specific to your jurisdiction as needed.
